Exploring

Walking & exploring in the Quantock Hills, a walk close to the village of Holford.

Began with a woodland trek, steadily going up hill &

 then out into the exposed openness at the very top!

There just had to be water! 

Something which Max does find hard to resist, even on this occasion. 

He emerged looking rather muddy!

But he continued to explore & enjoy his walk.

Time Out

Time out from work, so with such  nice weather on Monday 1st March,

a drive out with Max & my Mother.

A straight forward drive on the edges of Exmoor.

Beautiful & tranquil countryside,

 especially with such a lovely Spring like day.

Visited Dunster with its ancient Castle,

although, just a visit to the various craft shops.

Very tempted to buy, so I'm sure I'll be back!

Further on, visited Porlock, then on return,

stopped off at Allerford with it's waterford & bridge,

characterised with  cobblestone.

Max's day was highlighted with a walk at Minehead on our return journey,

 close to North Hill.
